Thank you for bringing us along on the journey and for having impeccable podcast recommendations. I love a fancy cocktail (the fabulous jacket you’re wearing in the picture is wonderful too). Since hearing little bits about the magic system and world of Nightbirds I’ve been excited to discover the world that awaits between the pages!
It's so exciting to see your hard work and creativity coming to fruition with Nightbirds release soon. You are an inspiration to me because I have recently left the teaching profession and am looking for new avenues to pursue that include my love for reading! Thanks so much!! The Pub Dates podcast is motivational and I enjoy listening to you and Amie!!!!
So excited for nightbirds! And I love your podcast with Amie about the publishing process. The world of nightbirds seems so interesting and I can’t wait to get my hands on it!!
The colors were some of the best I've seen in ages! My aunt lives in the country in New York, and it was all very peak autumn glory. The trip definitely helped fill my creative well. I hope you're getting some nice leaves in the UK: I've been dreaming of coming back there. It's been too long.
It was an ordinary day at school when grade 4 teacher brought out a book called “Mary Poppins” by P L Travers and begin reading to the classroom. What was this sorcery? An adult reading a book to me that took me places I had never dreamed. I was hooked and to this day the opening of a book, the crack of the spine and textural feel of the paper, the smell of the print will be forever a part of the joy of reading. The East Coast of Canada cannot wait for the release of your book.
Such exciting travels! The autumn season is always my favorite, and your pictures with leaves are beautiful representations of the season.
Everything you’ve spoken about on the podcast with Amie makes me excited to read Nightbirds. The way magic is transferred and the setting were the first things that got me interested!
Wow! I'm so excited for you! And seeing 'Nightbirds' in all her gorgeousness, set against the backdrop of autumn leaves, makes me excited all over again to read the book! I can't wait to meet your magical girls, having heard little bits about them and their world here in your newsletter and on Pub Dates. I want to find out who the character on the cover is, and how she won that defiant glint in her eye.
Longer days, not sure about the warmer weather (you picked a great month to be away from Melbourne 😭). Sounds like an amazing trip! I've been wanting to read Nightbirds ever since I heard the premise. Giving magic with a kiss is such an intriguing mix of power and vulnerability- and having three very different girls with this power has the makings on an incredible story.

The cover of Nightbirds is so beautiful! I’m so excited for the release after listening to the Pub Dates podcast.
It looks like an amazing time to have been back to visit the US. We’re lucky to get beautiful autumn colours in the UK too.

I missed some Biblical-level floods, it seems! I cannot believe it's November and still this cold here. I want my money back.
